Lukas ny löpare i herrtruppen

En ny intressant löpare är klar för 2025. Lukas Wieser som i Österrike representerar samma klubb som Gernot Ymsén, HSV Pinkafeld, ser 2025 fram emot sin första säsong som senior. 

I intervjun nedan får du reda på lite mer om Lukas, som kommer att göra debut i Pan-tröjan vid Swedish League i Linköping, några dagar innan 10mila i Finspång. 

Hello Lukas and welcome to Pan-Kristianstad!
- Thank you! I'm really excited to be part of the club and looking forward to the upcoming season.

 

When did you start with orienteering? And why?
- I started orienteering when I was very young. My parents took me to various orienteering and MTBO competitions, so I basically grew up in the sport. From day one, I enjoyed the challenge and adventure that orienteering offers.

What are you doing more in life except focusing on the sport?
- Besides orienteering, I am studying to become a teacher in sports and mathematics. However, I also enjoy taking it easy and just chilling during the days when I'm not training. 

Your biggest orienteering memory so far?
- My biggest orienteering memory so far is my first O-Ringen in 2019. It was overwhelming to see so many runners at one event, something I wasn’t used to. It was an incredible adventure where I also made a lot of new friends.

The most exciting terrain you have experienced?
- The terrain that fascinated me the most is Aguiar da Beira (in Portugal). It was an amazing experience running there.

Have you been in Sweden before? Any orienteering competitions?
- Yes, I have been to Sweden before. I have already run O-Ringen three times and also participated in the MTBO Junior World Championships in Falun.

What are you looking forward to this coming season?
- I am especially looking forward to the 2025 season because I will now be running for Pan :), which is a new and exciting experience for me.
